This annual event, hosted by radio personality Mike Harvey of BIG 100.3 FM, is the largest fundraising source for GKTW Village, and welcomes top corporate sponsors such as: Wal-Mart, Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola and American Airlines, in addition to local supporters, Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, and SeaWorld Orlando. Also in attendance will be special guests Mercury 7 Astronauts, Gordon Cooper and Robert Crippen; top executives David Siegel of Westgate Resorts and Jim Atchison of Anheuser Busch; music executive of Wright Entertainment Group, Johnny Wright; Grammy Winner, Will Baker and Mayor George A Gant, MD. In addition, the Gala will feature a special musical presentation by artist, Kelly Reese, who will perform the song,

Since the Village was founded in 1986, over 63,000 children and their families have been served by GKTW. This remarkable night plays an important role by increasing awareness and raising funds to bring even more children in need to visit Central Florida.

“This year we are all looking forward to another wonderful Gala evening. This night is our opportunity to not only further awareness for GKTW Village, but to also celebrate our many generous corporate sponsors, friends and family of Give Kids The World. Because of their support and excitement for this worthwhile evening, we are able to better serve our special Wish Children and their families from around the world,” said Pamela Landwirth, President of GKTW.

Give Kids The World is a 51-acre, non-profit resort for children with life-threatening illnesses whose one wish is to visit Central Florida’s best loved attractions. Give Kids The World Village partners with more than 250 wish-granting organizations from around the world who identify these special children and provide transportation to Orlando. With the help of many generous individuals and corporations, Give Kids The World Village then completes the wish with accommodations at its whimsical resort, attraction tickets and meals for a week-long, cost-free vacation.
