One-on-One Search Engine Optimization Training and Consulitng Made Efficient and Effective

TAMPA, Fla. March 2009 - Ray Gonzalez, 9Seconds CEO and search engine optimization guru, began training Teknor Apex on optimizing the company website one-on-one as a more efficient and effective alternative to hiring an outside firm to handle the day to day task of search engine optimization.
Because outsourcing is extremely expensive, medium to large companies have taken on the considerably in depth endeavor. These companies are paying employees to attend seminars and workshops, usually with a dozen or more students, to learn the process of search engine optimization. The employees are then expected produce the same results as a seasoned SEO, simply by attending a 1-4 day workshop.
Ray Gonzalez has taken the alternative approach by empowering a senior program analyst and an EDI coordinator at Teknor Apex by educating them on optimization, walking them through the process step-by-step, and assuring that their work is effective through frequent reports.
"80 percent of medium to large companies have taken search engine optimization in-house in an effort to save money," Gonzalez said. "Of that 80 percent, about 85 percent are ineffective. This is why I chose to walk the programmers through the process, so that they are confident to optimize on their own at a later date."
Outsourcing can cost a company anywhere from $50,00 to $100,00. According to Gonzalez, only 10 percent of medium to large companies actually hire an optimization firm. Hiring a consultant to educate and train employees cuts costs significantly.
By contracting Gonzalez, it is now easier for potential clients to find Teknor under several of their industry's key words. "They were upset that they couldn't be found under TPE or thermoplastic elastomer, a prominent market for them," Gonzalez said.
As a long time supplier to international customers, Teknor continues to pursue a steady expansion via acquisitions through alliances facilitated through the website. Teknor has built a reputation in the industry as a first class supplier of high quality custom mixed chemicals and rubber compounds for consumer goods such as garden hoses and floor mats.
Colleen Coia, senior program analyst for Teknor, said this a long-term investment that corporations are willing to make. By hiring Gonzalez as a consultant, the expense of SEO is listed under the IT department and under education. It is not listed as an outsourced corporate expense.
"Through this consultant/educator approach, we actually perform the optimization and the reports so we can see the meat of the problem or successes versus an outside company just showing us the bottom-line figures, " Coia said.
Teknor acknowledges the many benefits that Consultant Gonzalez provides including after-hours technical support, a one-on-one coaching atmosphere at a reduced cost. The most prominent benefit: the knowledge stays within the company.
